Video Supervisor - FT

The Video Supervisor for Hale Center Theater will provide assistance in the daily operations in the video department. Providing video and projection support for shows in our Jewel Box Theatre, Centre Stage Theatre and upcoming Beehive Arts and Education Theater. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will range from projector maintenance and calibration, content creation for productions, supervise video crew(s), design video projections for education camp productions, work closely with marketing to create videos & social media content & provide support for video teams during tech & run of shows. 

 PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assistant Department Head with video related teams
  • Schedule upkeep & maintenance for projectors, LED screen, and servers, etc…
  • Prepare projectors on a production by production basis i.e. Alignment, position, focus, lensing 
  • Assist/Associate Projection Design as requested by designer as approved by department head
  • Design video projections for educational shows
  • Assist in production content creation for video/projections as assigned 
  • Maintain video equipment, i.e. Cameras, Servers, camera switches, camera accessories etc…
  • Prepare & execute video changeover from show to show
  • Oversee implementation of new technologies as directed by department head
  • Oversee maintenance of inhouse crestron cc video system
  • Attend staff & production meetings as assigned
  • Oversee Crew
  • Attend and participate technical rehearsals 
  • Responsible to ensure that marking over-hire hits deadlines as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Five years experience working as a video supervisor, equivalent education
  • Able to navigate the physical requirements of stairs, ladders, catwalks, and lifts and ability to work in high places.
  • Knowledge of Disguise based projection system
  • Operating Disguise GX series servers
  • Knowledge of disguise designer software
  • Proficient in Networking
  • Ability to troubleshoot an entire video rig, including LED Panels, transmitters and receivers, power management,  
  • Knowledge of Christie projectors is a preferred 
  • Must be proficient in organization and communication 
  • Position requires full availability (six days a week during load-ins/outs and technical rehearsals), including nights, weekends, and some  holidays. Shifts will typically be from Monday - Friday - 10:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday’s - 10:30am - 11:00pm Tech week scheduling subject to change.

Compensation commensurate with experience. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
